Couple Finds 10 Million Dollars Worth of Coins

Imagine this: you’re walking your dog, and all of a sudden you see a rusty old metal can sticking right out of the ground on your property.  Since you’re curious, you open the can only to find $10 million worth of rare coins!

That’s what happened to a couple in northern California, who were walking their dog when they spotted something sticking out of the ground, and it changed their lives forever!  $10 million worth of coins (which is 1,427 coins dating from 1847 to 1894 if you were wondering or counting), which a coin collecting expert says is the most valuable buried treasure anyone’s ever found in the United States…EVER!

What makes these coins so rare?  Apparently the couple live in an area where the California gold rush happened in the mid 1800s.  The couple will keep their location and their names anonymous for obvious reasons.
