Country Artist Scotty McCreery Survives Scary Armed Robbery

Early Monday morning, country singer Scotty McCreery and his friends survived what he described as “a very scary night…” after being robbed at gunpoint.

The robbery happened early Monday morning at a Raleigh, North Carolina residence, and according to Raleigh Police Department, the robbery took place at Scotty’s apartment near the campus of North Carolina State University, just before 2am.  3 armed robbers, who were armed, came into the apartment, and robbed Scotty and his friends at gunpoint, taking money, wallets and electronic devices from them before leaving.  The good news is, Scotty and his friends are okay, however the 3 suspects are still on the loose.

On his Facebook page, Scotty wrote; “About last night’s robbery:  yes it was definitely a very scary night.  Luckily, my friends and I are safe and the Raleigh PD is on the case.  I will share more when the time is right, but as of now, we do not want to do or say anything that could hinder the investigation.  Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support.  A huge thank you to the Raleigh PD for their quick response and hard work in solving the case.”

Police are still investigating the case as they continue to search for the 3 suspects, while Scotty continues on with his "See You Tonight" tour.
