Construction to Begin on Southwest Drive Intersection On September 2
Construction on the Train Quiet zone at the Southwest Drive and W. Lincolnway train intersection will begin on September 2.
WYDOT already has portable message signs on W. Lincolnway warning motorists of the upcoming closure.
Southwest Drive will be totally closed at the train intersection for an estimated 20 working days (Sunday is not counted as a working day). Drivers will not be able to access Southwest Drive from W. Lincolnway during this time, although WYDOT says that it will maintain a way to get through in case one of the businesses has a load too large to go the other way.
WYDOT is taking a flyer around to the businesses in the area to inform them of the closure.
