Cheyenne Superday is getting funky this year. The Portland, Ore. based jazz, funk, and rock ensemble MarchFourth will headline the annual event on Saturday, June 22nd at Lions Park.

"The concert will be the first of its kind for Superday, which has traditionally had a smaller beach-front stage on the south side of the park," the City of Cheyenne announced in a press release today. "With the new stage location designed to be front-and-center, the amphitheater music will be the hub for this much-anticipated performance."

The critically acclaimed "steamfunk, rock 'n roll circus party" features over 20 musicians, including a horn and percussion section, acrobats, dancers, and stiltwalkers. Centennial, Wyo. folk band J Shogren Shanghai’d will also perform at the concert.

Now entering its 37th year, Superday will also include local artists, carnival games, a classic car show, food vendors, a fishing derby, a 5K run/walk, a bicycle race, and a sand volleyball tournament. The event is free to the public and all ages are welcome.
