Cheyenne Transient Charged in Construction Site Theft
A Cheyenne transient could face up to 30 years in prison after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of tools and supplies from a construction site.
According to court documents, police were called to Harbor Freight Tools on March 14, 2016, after two large job site boxes belonging to Pole Mountain Electric and a trailer containing a large job site box belonging to Harold F. Johnson Masonry were reported stolen.
A monthslong investigation by police led to the recovery of the stolen items and a warrant was issued for Denny J. Shrove's arrest.
The 39-year-old Shrove was taken into custody on July 26 and has been charged with two counts of felony theft and a single count of burglary.
Shrove is currently being held in the Laramie County Jail on $10,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 1 at 3 p.m.
