Cheyenne Student Group Collecting For Hurricane Victims

The Cheyenne South High School Future Business Leaders of America is partnering with a family in Texas to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

The group will hold a donation drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the high school to collect donations, which will be sent to a family in Dickinson, Texas for distribution throughout that community.

The following items are needed, according to a release from the south high school FBLA:

-school supplies

-cleaning supplies

-towels/washcloths

-bedding

-toiletries, combs, brushes, etc.

-toilet paper

-non-perishable food items

-large trash bags

-batteries, all sizes but especially "D" for flashlights

-mosquito spray and sunscreen

Cash donations will also be accepted at the event Saturday, but the students are asking that clothing not be donated. Donations can also be shipped directly to Texas through Amazon by going to Smile.amazon.com Dickinson ISD.
