Three historic homes located just south of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center are being moved Monday night and into Tuesday morning.

These three homes are over 120 years old and are being moved in two stages. Monday night they’ll be parked on the west side of downtown Cheyenne, according to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, then on Tuesday morning, they’ll be traveling through “the heart of downtown,” traveling down Lincolnway over to College Drive, and then on to their permanent location at the end of Allison.

Motorists should consider alternate routes, as delays are to be expected.

These homes were almost destroyed in 2008 after a request was made by the original owner, but the Cheyenne Historic Preservation Board blocked that action because of the homes historic value. Now they are being moved and restored.
