You hear so many stories of people honoring our heroes these days... some have even moved us to tears. Well..This is one of those stories (so grab some Kleenex), because what this little boy did to show his gratitude to one of our soldiers will have you shedding a few tears. I couldn't help but shed a few myself.

On February 7, Lt. Col. Frank Dailey and his family walked into the Cracker Barrel Restaurant close to the Ohio Air National Guard Base where he is stationed.  About the same time, little 8-year-old Myles Eckert came in with his family.

Little Myles was so excited as he walked into the restaurant, because he just found $20 dollars in the parking lot, and was thinking of all the things he could buy with his new found treasure.  According to CBS News, Myles said that he "kinda wanted a video" but then changed his mind.  Why?  Because he saw a man in uniform, and that man reminded Myles of his own father, Army Sgt. Andy Eckert, who was killed while serving in Iraq, when Myles was only 5 weeks old.

So Myles took the $20 dollar bill and wrapped it up in a note that said:  "Dear Soldier -- my dad was a soldier. He's in heaven now. I found this 20 dollars in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It's your lucky day! Thank you for your service. Myles Eckert, a gold star kid."

Soon after, Myles asked his mom for one more thing, to take him to his father's grave so he could tell his dad all about today's adventure.  Watch this video about Myles, and how his generosity changed the life of this soldier forever, hopefully it'll change yours too!
