It's good to be Maren Morris. The country star kept hearing her name over and over again on Wednesday morning (Aug. 28), when the Country Music Association revealed nominees for the 2019 CMA Awards.

In fact, Morris is the most-nominated artist at the upcoming annual awards show — and her total number of nominations (eight) is double that of the next most-nominated artists. Clearly, her sophomore album, Girl, is a head-turner.

Dan + Shay had a good morning, too: The duo earned three nominations at the 2019 CMA Awards, while their song "Tequila" is also nominated for Song of the Year. Dan Smyers, as a songwriter and producer, racks up three additional nominations for his work on the project. Not bad, gentlemen!
