Students, grades 4th through 12th have a chance to enter in the Letters About Literature writing contest that is going on at Wyoming State Library, according to the Star Herald.

The contest started on November 1st and the deadline is January 11th, 2019.  To enter, students have to read a book that inspires them or shows them a new way to see the world.  Then they have to write to the author, living or dead and share how the book impacted their life.  Individual students or whole classrooms can enter.

The letters will be separated into three groups, 4-6 grades, 7-8 grades, and 9-12 grades.  The third place winner gets a $50 Amazon gift card, second place receives $100 Amazon gift card and first place wins a $150 Amazon gift card.  The first place winner will move onto the national competition.
