
Tornado Watch for Laramie Country Until 10pm Thursday
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for parts of Wyoming that include Laramie County and the city of Cheyenne, in effect until 10:00 PM Thursday (June 20). The Nebraska Panhandle, along with parts of Colorado and Kansas are also included in this watch.
Strong thunderstorms are expected to develop along the front range this afternoon and evening and move across the high plains.
REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.

eastern Colorado
northwestern Kansas
western Nebraska
eastern Wyoming
* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 400 PM until
1000 PM MDT.
* Primary threats include...
A couple tornadoes possible
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Strong to severe thunderstorm development initiating
across and east of the Front Range is expected to continue
intensifying while spreading across the central High Plains through
mid to late evening. A few supercells are possible, including a
period with at least some tornado potential, particularly during the
6-8 PM MDT time frame.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 85 statute miles
east and west of a line from 20 miles northwest of Chadron NE to 25
miles south southeast of Burlington CO. For a complete depiction of
