The Nebraska State Highway Patrol Has The Best Cop Car

This past week the Nebraska State Highway Patrol busted out their 1993 Ford Mustang to help with a traffic stop, according to Fox News.

The car is a 1993 Ford Mustang SSP (Special Service Package), it is still a full-service police car. The Ford Crown Victoria sedan was the car most police departments used in the 80s and 90s. Ford wanted to give the police an alternative if they didn't like the Crown Victoria, so they came out with a 5.0-liter V8 Ford Mustang. It wasn't your typical Mustang you can buy at a car lot it had an upgraded engine and transmission cooling system, heavy-duty alternator, calibrated speedometer and other equipment special for law enforcement.

The 93 Mustang became kind of popular among the departments that received them. About 15,000 of these Mustangs were made and distributed to state and local departments, even the FBI, DEA and the U.S. Air Force purchased a few.

Not only is the Nebraska State Highway Patrol 1993 Mustang an active car but it goes in all the parades and community outreach programs.
