Nationwide, Planet Fitness is starting their Teen Summer Challenge.  Kids between the ages of 15-18 will get a free membership this summer for participating in the program, according to Wyoming Tribune Eagle.

The program will end on September 1st. It doesn't matter if you work out every day or you never have before, this program for everyone. There will be teen-specific classes ran by professional trainers. For the teens participating, Planet Fitness will give away one $500 scholarship in each state and one $5,000 scholarship in each state. The scholarships are allowed to be used for academic or athletic programs. The Cheyenne Planet Fitness will also give away one iPad and a Planet Fitness Backpack.

Children between the ages of 6-17 are recommended by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to have a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity a day.

If your child is under the age of 18 but wants to participate, make sure they are accompanied by a parent or guardian for registration.
