State Champions

The Cody Cubs won the 2026 Division 2 Legion Baseball State Tournament on August 3 in Green River. They beat Jackson 11-1.

Laramie beat Lovell, Douglas, and Cody for their first crown since 2016.

The Cheyenne Sixers went through the Division 1 State Tournament undefeated (5-0) and won the state championship with an 8-1 victory over the upstart Sheridan Jets.

Cheyenne East won its first softball title in school history in dramatic fashion, with a walk-off game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Kelly Walsh won its first boys soccer title in 14 years behind a four goal performance by Ethan Leslie in Gillette. The Trojans beat Jackson 4-1.

Jackson defated Laramie 3-1 to win its second consecutive 4A girls' soccer state title and ninth in school history.

The Cody Fillies got a goal in the second half of overtime to slip past Lander and win its second straight 3A girls' soccer crown.

Lander beat Cody in overtime, 2-1, for the first boys' soccer state championship in school history.

The spotlight fell on Ben Forsythe, Cy Gallion, Brady Hunt, Everett Thomas, and Bryson Laing.

Thermopolis junior Lilly Quintanilla, Buffalo senior Karly Davis, Tel Parry of Star Valley, and Wyoming Indian’s Ben Niedo, were selected based on their performances.

This was the fourth title in school history for the Broncs and fifth for the Fillies.
