The smoke you may have smelled in southeast Wyoming this morning is from blazes burning in Arizona and Colorado as well as a grass fire west of Cheyenne.
Due to prescribed burns that have been planned for this week, your trip along I-80 from Cheyenne to Laramie and vice versa will see some 'very visible' smoke. This, according to the United States Forest Service.
Smoky conditions related to the Mullen Fire 100 miles west of Cheyenne are expected to persist across most of southeast Wyoming through noon Wednesday.
