Jason Phillips arrived in Colorado on August 10 and spent two weeks fighting the Cameron Peak fire before coming down with COVID-like symptoms at the end of his shift on August 25.

Many Torrington residents who heard the large explosion took to social media in an effort to determine the source Wednesday night.

Laramie County Fire District #2 (LCFD#2) is holding a fire camp at their station.

He is survived by his wife and three children.

The Hatchery Fire started east of Ten Sleep on Friday afternoon and has grown to more than 3,000 acres by Saturday morning.
