The Laramie County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim in Saturday's shooting east of Cheyenne.

Capt. Linda Gesell says deputies arrived at a home in the 13000 block of Stewart Road to find 21-year-old Gaven Stundon with a gunshot wound to his head.

Stundon was taken to the hospital, but as of Thursday morning Gesell didn't know if he was still alive.

"The last I was told is that he was an organ donor, but I don't know if that has taken place yet," she said.

Gesell says they're "still investigating" the shooting, but "witnesses say (Stundon) may have been doing some sort of Russian roulette."

Deputies were looking for a man who left the scene before they arrived, but Gesell says he's been identified.

When asked if they were investigating the shooting as a homicide, Gesell said, "We don't know until we get all the information together."
