
Severe Thunderstorm Watch Wednesday Includes Cheyenne
The Nation Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect Wednesday (September 11, 2019) until 10:00 PM. The Watch includes the Nebraska Panhandle, parts of northeastern Colorado and Goshen and Laramie Counties in Wyoming. This includes the city of Cheyenne.
The NWS says that supercells capable of large, damaging hail are the main concern. However, an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to rapidly develop this
afternoon and overspread much of the watch area this afternoon and
early evening. Supercells capable of large, damaging hail are the
main concern. However, an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled
out.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 95
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles east of North
Platte NE to 30 miles north of Cheyenne WY. For a complete depiction
