Jon Langston's 'Don't Rock the Jukebox' Cover Keeps It Country

Jon Langston's acoustic cover of Alan Jackson's '90s hit "Don't Rock the Jukebox" keeps it country. The newcomer's version of the song features plenty of guitar, a steady beat and a little bit of twang.

"Don't rock the jukebox / I want to hear some Jones / 'Cause my heart ain't ready
For the Rolling Stones," Langston sings in the chorus first made famous by Jackson. "I don't feel like rockin' / Since my baby's gone / So don't rock the jukebox / Play me a country song ..."

Jackson wrote "Don't Rock the Jukebox," the lead single from his album of the same name, with Roger Murrah and Keith Stegall. He released the song in April of 1991, and it became his second consecutive No. 1 song. "Don't Rock the Jukebox" is 1992's ASCAP Country Song of the Year winner, and also has the honor of being covered by Alvin and the Chipmunks.

The first signee to Luke Bryan's 32 Bridge Entertainment, a partnership with EMI Records Nashville, Langston is, like Jackson and Bryan, a Georgia native. His current single is "Now You Know," though he's also released the songs "When It Comes to Loving You" and "Dance Tonight."

Langston is currently touring with Bryan and Cole Swindell on Bryan's Sunset Repeat Tour. He recently performed at Stagecoach and CMA Fest as well.
