F.E. Warren Air Force Base near Cheyenne will be on a delayed reporting schedule for everyone except mission-essential personnel on Wednesday, May 6, according to a news release.

The release says that due to anticipated severe winter weather, everyone except mission-essential personnel should report at 9 a.m. to allow less traffic at the gates of the base and to give snow crews time to work. Anyone who isn't sure of when they should report should ask for clarification from commanding officers.

The release goes on to say

"F.E. Warren Youth Programs and the Child Development Center will be open as normal operating hours. AAFES Base Exchange and Commissary will operate as normal. Gates will be open as normal, no change.  Gate 5  (Exit 12, Central Ave.) remains the 24/7 point of entry.

Scheduled medical appointments prior to 10:00 a.m. May 6,  2026 are cancelled, please call to reschedule as needed. Medical right start (6 May) is cancelled."
