Wyoming Prep Wrestling Shifts Into High Gear as Week 4 Brings Full Mats and Big Tournaments
After a brief slowdown during the holidays that featured mostly training, Week 4 of the Wyoming prep wrestling season cranks up with lots of action. The week starts with some head-to-head competitions before the weekend is tournament-oriented. Douglas and Glenrock serve as the main spots in Wyoming. The Shane Shatto Invite is the largest tournament. The boys’ memorial invitational is in Douglas, and the girls will be at the Rumble in the Rock at Glenrock.
WYOPREPS WRESTLING WEEK 4 SCHEDULE 2026
Thermopolis hosts its Bobcat Invite with the girls wrestling on Friday, followed by the boys on Saturday. Out of state, Vernal, Utah hosts its Tournament of Champions. The Hettinger Classic in North Dakota will have two Wyoming schools attending. A few other teams will head to Colorado, Idaho, and Utah for other action on the mat. All schedules are subject to change.

Pinedale took 5th with 134 team points. Natrona placed 7th, Green River 9th, and Evanston placed 10th. Kaylea Mortensen of Pinedale took 1st at 125. Kemmerer's Kaylie Julander won at 140. Sarah Eddy from Rock Springs finished 1st at 155.

Sundance was 8th, and Hulett took 9th.

Lovell wins the Bobcat Invite with 189.5 pts and four 1st-place wrestlers, Hudson Mickelson, Mason Christenson, Zayden Stahl, and Owen Hill. Rocky Mountain took 2nd, and Masen Twomey finished 1st at 215 for the Grizzlies. Thermopolis was 3rd.

Thunder Basin takes the Shane Shatto title this year with 213 pts. The Bolts had 3 1st-place wrestlers in Jayden Kubo, Lucas Stirling, and Breckin Henry. Kelly Walsh took 2nd, and Cheyenne East finished 3rd by 0.5 pts over Natrona County. William Alt and Landon Smith took 1st for the Trojans. The T-Birds had one 1st-place wrestler in Sammy Sanchez at 126.
Hettinger Classic in Hettinger, ND = Hulett, Moorcroft, Sundance.
Moorcroft took 7th with 146.5 team points. Sundance finished 9th. Riley DeHaven took 2nd for the Wolves at 172. Ellyott Gorsuch of Moorcroft was 3rd at 285. Wudzie Zaato of Sundance was 3rd at 172.
Madison Invitational at Madison HS in Rexburg, ID = Jackson.
Jackson finished in 19th place in the team standings. Hunter Boss took 2nd place at 157.
Richardson Memorial at Box Elder HS in Brigham City, UT = Star Valley.
Star Valley was 4th in the team standings with 137.5 points. The Braves had 2 champions in Kimball Parry (138) and Cael Hoopes (165).
Tournament of Champions at Uintah County Western Park in Vernal, UT = Cokeville, Evanston, Green River, Kemmerer, Lyman, Mountain View, Pinedale, Rawlins, Rock Springs.
Green River took 3rd with 157.5 team points. Pinedale was 9th, and Rawlins was 12th. Hudson Baker from Rawlins took the title at 120, and Cokeville's Kashton Walker won the crown at 190.
