Team USA Cruises to Historic 60-0 Shutout Over Canada at CanAm Bowl XXVIII

Team USA dominated Team Canada and rolled to a 60-0 win in CanAm Bowl XXVIII last Saturday in Meeteetse, Wyoming. It was the first shutout by either team in the history of the game. Team USA won its fifth straight in the series and 14th in the last 15 meetings. They lead the all-time series, 23-5.

The US took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Bode Ham from Texas scored on runs of 18 and 70 yards, respectively. He finished with nearly 150 yards rushing and 60 yards passing early on but left the game due to an injury.

Team USA didn’t miss a beat. Trey Scheler from Colorado scored on a 7-yard TD run that made it 22-0 in the second quarter. After an interception by Farson’s Kole Johnson, wide receiver Nolan Kamerman from Montana took a reverse and threw a 23-yard TD pass to QB Houston Billeter from Nebraska. It was 30-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the US stretched its lead on a Scheler 24-yard TD run. They got two TD passes from Billeter. He tossed scoring strikes to Cooper Streit from Montana and Austin Wright from Colorado, respectively, from 3 and 60 yards out. Jaydn Martinez from Colorado returned one of his two interceptions for a TD. Team USA added a safety on a sack by the defense in the fourth quarter for the final score of 60-0.

Kamerman was selected as the Team USA Offensive MVP, and Wright was chosen as the Team USA Defensive MVP.

Besides Farson’s Johnson, Deke Latham (#4) and Granit Ready (#17) from Little Snake River, and Meeteetse’s Jacob Moody (#41) were Wyoming players on the Team USA roster in 2026.
