MSN.com just released “The most boring place to live in every state.” In the 44th state, it’s Casper, according to them. They factored Population: 82,191, Full-service restaurants: 67, Bars: 11, Museums: 1, and Hotels: 23.

“Well they miscounted the few things in Casper so I'm assuming they don't know what they're talking about!”

Barry

“I’m good with this kind of boring.”

Marie

You can call Casper “The Year-Round Mountain Town” or “Oil City,” but you can’t call Casper "boring," if you want any kind of cred.

MSN, Visit Casper again, with your eyes open.

They are so wrong in so many ways. 1 museum? They must have somehow missed The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, The Nicolaysen Art Museum +Discovery Center, Fort Caspar Museum, the Tate Geological Museum, The Werner Wildlife Museum, Wyoming Veterans Memorial Museum, The Science Zone, Casper Planetarium, and more.

In town or in proximity, there’s so much to see and do.

Casper Mountain, Alcova, Fremont Canyon, Hell’s Half Acre, sightseeing, hiking, biking, skiing, boating camping, climbing, fly fishing, horseback riding.

I guess they weren’t around for the College National Finals Rodeo, Beartrap Summer Festival, Canines for Charity Sled Dog Races, The Bear Bait 8 endurance race, The Cowboy State Games with it’s alpine skiing, figure skating, Nordic skiing, biathlon, youth ice hockey, fencing, karate, BMX, judo, grappling, 3×3 basketball, cyclocross, dog agility, softball, Chumash, wrestling, swimming, and pickleball.

Oh, and they seem to have missed the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo with mutton bustin’, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, tie-down roping, bull riding, steer wrestling and barrel racing. They also missed NicFest, Riverfest & the Great Duck Derby, Casper Family Aquatic Center, the Casper Ice Arena, golf courses and so much more.
