The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for most of southeast Wyoming for Monday.

The warning area includes Cheyenne, Laramie, Wheatland, and Casper. Part of the Nebraska Panhandle is also included in the warning area.

The agency posted this statement on its website:

The Red Flag Warning has been expanded to include most of southeast Wyoming, as well as the northern Nebraska Panhandle from 11 AM this morning until 8 PM MDT this evening. Hot temperatures, gusty west to southwest winds, and extremely low relative humidity values are expected to create conditions favorable for rapid fire spread. Outdoor burning is not recommended!
