Cheyenne Barber Shop Brings Big City Feeling To Downtown
new barber shop
Presidential Barber Shop gets a brand new building and a brand new look on W. Lincolnway.
Angel Maldanado is the owner of Presidential Barber Shop. He came here in 2010 with his wife who was in the military at the time. Originally from New York, there weren't many places for him to go and continue his New York barber style of cutting. He started off at Trujillo's Barber Shop on Randall Ave. In 2011, he and owner of The T.R.I.B.E Zoo, LLC Tattoo came together to form Cheyenne's first ever tattoo/barber shop on Capitol St. in downtown. Then, in 2015 Angel moved once again to the corner of 19th and Central, which was the first shop he owned by himself in Cheyenne.
After 4 very successful years, he bought his own building space in the heart of downtown on W. Lincolnway, right next to Ernie November's. His new space is as big if not bigger then most shops you would see in Denver. He did a whole new remodel on the inside and out. Equipped with six barber stations, four are being occupied at the moment by barbers. Flat screen tv's, arcade games in the back with plenty more to come. Doors opened on March 1st, 2019.
Angel and the other barbers have a very large military clientele but they welcome everyone to come in and get a haircut.
It's more than just being a barber to Angel, it's about being apart of the community for him, making downtown grow even bigger and better. Very friendly environment, walk-ins are welcome or schedule an appointment with any of the barbers.
Opened Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Then on Saturdays they are opened 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"Presidential, it's more than a haircut, it's a lifestyle," was the old slogan. Now, "Presidential is a team, not a person."
