It sounds like a scene from a bad Christmas movie on Lifetime, but stranger things have happened.

The Loveland Neighborhood Watch group on Facebook posted about a burglar that got away with the help of  Good Samaritans who happened upon the scene.

It happened on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, in west Loveland off of 1st Street. It seems that a residence was burglarized between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The driveway is steep and there's been a lot of snow, so it's not surprising that the 'getaway car' got stuck.

Folks must have seen the person/car struggling and came to help out. That must have been strange:

'Need some help?'

'Uh, [looking around] yeah, please.'

'No sweat, buddy. Happy Holidays!'

Then, the happy burglar goes on with their merry-thefty day.

The homeowner is hoping the folks who helped that person will call the Larimer County Sheriff's Office and offer what information they can.
