While I realize some love spiders and a few into arachnology, even collect them. But most people fear and avoid spiders. That’s why I recommend staying away from La Junta, Colorado.

Every October in southeastern Colorado, male tarantulas go on the prowl during their once in their lifetime chance to mate with a female, which will only end up killing them after the mating act.

Males become sexually active at 8 and by the tens of thousands, seriously, by the TENS OF THOUSANDS. In a once-a-year phenomenon, they go in search of the less numerous females who stay in their burrows waiting for a baby daddy to stop by.
